ahhh well winter break has come & gone...
Christmas was so wonderful, and i was so sad to come back to logan, i missed all my friends from home.
i also chopped all my hair off!! ahhh.
Classes started on monday.
ugh.
actually i gotta say i love my classes right now.
i've got some humanities, family finance, marriage & family relations, Energy (science), and MACROECONOMICS!
i'm super stoked about my econ class! haven't had a business class for about 8 months (since high school :D ) and i missed them so much! i seriously was so excited to hear my professor talk about oppportunity cost, i almost started crying!
I love my business classes. ask me why i'm not majoring in business?! gah!
but there's plenty of time for that....
I also recently discovered that after this semester i'll only need a math & english class to have my associates, seriously CE classes in high school saved my life (and a whole years worth of schooling!!!) Smartest thing i EVER did! I wouldn't even need to take math either, but i've got myself an expired ACT score, (yeah i was super irate when i found out my score EXPIRES!)
I'm also pretty excited for tax season. haha
it kinda seems like a cruel joke to me now since i spent two years of my life doing taxes at the VITA site, and now that i served my time, i'm just excited i don't have to do it anymore! that vita site was cursed, and i didn't even get a win at nationals. story of my life :)
I'm rambling, probably due to the fact that i'm at work (the tanning salon) and have been here for 5 hours, 1 more to go. I also am about to force myself to read about some macroeconomics!! yay. haha

it's final week in beautiful Cache Valley!
I'm just preparing to say goodbye to sleep, and hello to stress!
the girls and I are so excited to take tests that will determine the rest of our lives (haha).
I'm just thankful it finally SNOWED today!!!
17 days until christmas!

for those of you that don't hear about my biggest pet peeve, i'll give you some facts before telling this story.

1. the shuttle is the school bus for big kids.
2. i have 7:30 class everyday, and ride the shuttle early in the morning, and you guessed it, usually pissed off at the world.
3. my biggest annoyance: people who talk on the phone on the shuttle

The other morning i board the shuttle at the buttcrack of dawn (7:15) to go to english. I'm in a bad mood because i got approximately 4 hours of sleep (yeah i'm wayyyy smart for getting 7:30 classes in college). I sit down, and right across from me is a girl talking on the phone. i hate when people talk on the phone on the shuttle. number 1. it's too damn early to talk, why are you on the phone?! and number 2. who are you talking to that's up this early in the g.d. morning?! so i'm giving this girl the death look, seriously staring her down, as i do everyone who talks on the phone on the shuttle. she's talking LOUD. so everyone is hearing this conversation, and this is what she's saying...
"i just feel so safe with him"
(she seriously said it like that, with the emphasis on the word safe. I start giggling at her. what a douche bag.)
"He's just so great, so well behaved, and I was thinking about it, and if i was like walking in a dark alley, I'd want to have him with me because NOBODY would mess with me."
(i'm not giggling anymore, i'm laughing at her, let's be honest here, this girl was...well...plain to say the least. there's not way she's got this huge, sexy man to keep her safe, so not only am i laughing at how she's talking about this guy, but at the vision i have of what this guy looks like).
"well we went on a walk last night to see some friends and i just felt so safe, he's so wonderful, and so good around people."
(i'm still laughing. and now i'm looking around the shuttle, and nobody else is laughing, everyone is just staring at me. i know everyone is hearing her conversation, because she's talking so loud, and i can't understand how people aren't finding this hilarious).
"Well yeah his head is just HUGE!!"
(????..i'm still laughing. imagine my image of what this guy looks like.)
"and yeah i'm glad i picked him"
(...k i know for a FACT that by the looks of this girl, she didn't have more than one option to "pick" from)
"well when we were walking a girl was talking to her friend, and as they passed us she said, 'that is the biggest dog i've ever seen! how scary!'"
(...now i'm way confused. this guy must be so ugly, a girl said she looked like a dog! hahaha)


and then it hit me. the annoying girl on the shuttle wasn't talking about her boyfriend...she was talking about her dog. At least at this point everyone on the shuttle is staring at me because i'm laughing pretty hard.

ahhh it's been awhile!
time for a little update....
nothing too huge has happened,
besides first semester is over!! finals week next week...bleh.
we're not too excited about it. but thankful that class is over!
thanksgiving was wonderful, and we're so excited for...
CHRISTMAS!
we have a plethora of christmas decorations around the apt. and even a christmas tree...which is great.

another update.
for those of you who thought i'd go off to college and get a boyfriend, i'll continue to laugh in your face (Haha)
because it's not happening, however, i do have some great stories about the TERRIBLE blind dates i've been on. it's actually pretty funny. At least people can find joy in my terrible dating experiences. good thing boys don't like me! i'm super glad about it...not.

so I've recently won the housewife of the year award for my great dishwashing techniques. We ran out of dishwasher detergent, and when i went to do the dishes i grabbed the first bottle of liquid i saw and poured it into the dishwasher, i mean i FILLED the opening to the brim, & turned it on. Half an hour later, we soon realized that i put DISH SOAP in the freakin' dishwasher, it was quite a mess, and i felt sooo smart. haha

I'd just like to let everyone know that ashley solved global warming yesterday. It came to her as we were eating brownies (big surprise there) all of a sudden she says, and this is a direct quote "Al Gore said that global warming is from the ice caps melting, that does not make any sense! if i had a cooler full of ice cubes, and they melted, the cooler wouldn't overflow. . . . . i just solved global warming.". . .and we all looked at each other and agreed that she was right. college is doing wonders for us, somebody call bill nye the science guy, he needs to do a housecall

i never in a million years thought I'd say this. but I miss fbla & deca. . . . seriously. actually I just miss Banta & Shaf (even though they throw me under the bus). I don't know how many times I changed what FBLA stands for to match a few choice swear words, and now i find myself missing it? After 6:30 meetings, writing that freaking 30 page paper for parntership, having mental breakdowns from stress (haha), losing at nationals, and literally LIVING at the school for Mr. Northridge why do i want to do it all over again?!?!
